TEACHERS | MAKING | A DIFFERENCE

DUBLIN - Teachers Making a Difference team on Saturday took a bus tour of the Irish capital, Dublin.

After the tour, the stars took an express train to Limerick, a city about 200km away on the western coast of the island.

The two-hour tour took the excited teachers to some of the historic sites around Dublin, a city of about 1.3 million people.

Kiganda dance

Prior to the tour, Ugandan teachers in Ireland wowed their colleagues with the Kiganda traditional dance.

Led by Juliet Tracy Nansubuga of Gayaza High School together with Naome Muhwezi and Bonita Fauchan, both of the Irish Embassy in Kampala, the group gyrated to the drummings by among others Lorraine Gallagher, the Head of Cooperation and deputy head of mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Uganda.

There was wild cheers when Michael Chanda, a Zambian working with Irish Aid joined the dance.
