Arthur Kaluma is headed to the NBA. Finally!
The Ugandan has been upgraded to a two-way contract by the LA Lakers after impressing for them in the Summer League, averaging 19 points and shooting 50% from three-point range.
Kaluma spent last season with the South Bay Lakers, the team’s development programme, enhancing his reputation as a versatile perimeter defender and reliable three-point shooter.
Those qualities were on full display in the Summer League, where the Lakers reached the semis — losing to eventual champions Golden State Warriors.

A two-way contract means Kaluma will split time between the Lakers and South Bay and cannot play more than 50 games in the NBA in the upcoming season.
It also means he will earn roughly $636,435 (sh2.3 billion) as a salary.
