The battle between Gift Sebuguzi, Milton Akaki and Waleed Omar in the MX125cc class has always been a mouth-watering one.

However, what is expected between Filbert Muwonge and Jude Kyle Musede in the MX50cc class this season will be a photo finish.

The two face off on Sunday in the opening race of the National Motocross Championship at the Victoria Raceway Park in Garuga.

Last year, Muwonge reigned supreme in Kasanje, while Musedde did it in Busiika and Nairobi.

The national championship has seven rounds of which two shall be held in Busiika, one in Fort Portal, another in Kasanje and Masaka, and the rest will be held in Garuga.

The track that has been upgraded will be much more exciting for racers while fans will enjoy views of Lake Victoria.

The pair faces stiff opposition from Noel Sekamwa, Abigail Muwanguzi, Jeremiah Makumbi and Ethan Musede.

Muwonge is the reigning national champion in a season where it should be noted that Musede did not compete.
