With Uganda fielding 76 riders out of 98, victory is for Uganda but what remains in question is the number of podiums and medals Ugandan riders will take.

Uganda has eight riders in the 50cc junior class, 14 in 50cc, 20 in the 65cc class, six in the 85cc class, three in the Mx125cc, and six in the MX1 and MX2 classes respectively.

“We are ready for the task. The track is good, we have added a banker to reduce on the slope and my team is ready to fire because we have to defend this title,” Mbabazi said.

“We shall all be in Kyotera by Friday, focused on nothing but victory because we can not afford to lose at home,” he added.

Jude Kyle Musedde (50cc)will be out to defend his title but will face stiff opposition from teammates including Noel Ssekamwa and Abigail Katende and Kenya's Chiara Hatanga.

With Miguel Katende injured in the 65cc class, his sibling, Jonathan Katende will lead the battle in the 65cc class.

Katende together with Filbert Muwonge, Ramathan Mubiru, Isaac Mitima Ashraf Mbabazi Jr, Larry Ssekamwa, Jamairah Makumbi, and  Elie Mitima will face off with Kenyans, Kigen Mutuma, Dylan Hatanga, Uhrie Yongo, Berry Notea and Armani Amani in the battle for the podium.

In the MX125 cc class,  Dan Mitima, Gift Sebuguzi, and Ron Young will be out for top honors for the country.

In the 85cc, Jerome Mubiru, Ethan Jassa, and Joseph Lukwago will face a stiff challenge from Tanzania’s Collins Simonson.

Uganda has won the FIM CAC since 2012 and targets to continue with the same.
