Express FC have appointed Abubaker Mbowa as their new coach.

The former Proline and Soltilo Bright Stars coach, who replaced Alex Isabirye, was confirmed as the new club head coach on a two-year deal on Monday. He will be deputised by Sulaiman Mutyaba.

"The club wishes to announce Abubaker Mbowa as the new head coach and Sulaiman Mutyaba as his assistant on a two-year contract with immediate effect. This comes after coach Alex Isabirye and the club decided to part ways along with assistant Augustine Nsumba. We wish both Mbowa and Mutyaba a nice stay and success at the club," revealed club Head of Communications, Jeremiah Mugerwa.

The duo join at a time when Express had been eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup by BUL 4-1 and have had inconsistent performances in the league.
