Forward Alpha Thierry Ssali has signed with Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), completing a move from National Enterprise Corporation Football Club (NEC FC).

The 21-year-old striker has inked a two-year contract that will keep him at Lugogo until 2027.

His transfer holds emotional significance, as his grandfather, Bidandi Ssali, was a revered figure at KCCA FC, having served as both coach and team manager in the late 1960s.

Ssali, son of celebrated Ugandan musician Moses Ssali—popularly known as Bebe Cool—joined NEC FC in January this year from Express FC. His stint at NEC was brief, with limited playing time due to fierce competition from seasoned forwards Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko.

Prior to NEC, Ssali spent one and a half seasons with Express FC, having joined the Red Eagles from Proline FC on August 12, 2023.

KCCA FC is currently undergoing a squad overhaul in preparation for the upcoming season. Recent signings include goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, Roger Mugisha, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, Lazaro Muhindo Bwambale, and Enock Walusimbi. Ssali’s arrival adds youthful vigor and attacking versatility to the Kasasiro Boys’ frontline.
