Popular Ugandan musician Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, made use of a campaign rally in Obongi district to heap praise on President Yoweri Museveni.
He praised the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party presidential candidate in the 2026 general election as a national and continental hero before performing for him while waving a yellow T-shirt.
This was shortly after the President arrived at Lionga Boma Grounds in Obongi town council on October 17, 2025.
Kenzo, who also serves as president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation and as a senior presidential advisor on creatives, began by scoffing at critics who claim the party lacks youthful supporters.
“There are so many people who are saying that we don’t have the youth. Your Excellency, the President of the Republic of Uganda, you are the king of the ghetto, the king of the jungle, the modern king of Uganda, and we all love you and believe in you,” he told Museveni, who was seated alone in a special tent watching him.
