Police recover unidentified body of man on Kasese streets
Police have deployed a canine unit to track the suspected assailants. However, the canine lost the trail.

Police in Kasese are investigating circumstances surrounding the suspected murder of a man identified only as Robert, whose body was found with injuries believed to have been caused by assault.
The body was recovered yesterday, September 22, 2026, at around 6:00am from a corridor along Kasese Main Street, near Pride Microfinance Bank, Kasese Branch, in Town Centre Cell, Central Division, Kasese Municipality.
According to Rwenzori Region Police spokesperson, Maate Elly, police has deployed a canine unit to track the suspected assailants. However, the canine lost the trail.
Maate says the deceased had external injuries believed to have been caused by beatings.
The body was taken to Kasese Health Centre III mortuary for a postmortem examination.
