The Rezllife Saints have struggled to maintain their National Basketball League (NBL) status on several occasions before.

Promotion has often been accompanied by immediate or quick demotion to the second tier.

This season they seem determined to stay around longer.

With three wins in their first five games, Rezlife have had an exceptional start to the campaign, and can make things even better when they face Livingstone today at the YMCA.

Livingstone survived relegation last season but have started this campaign with four losses in five games and know they must start picking up victories before their situation gets out of hand.

Rezlife started the campaign with a three-point loss to KCCA before bouncing back with a 13-point win over the Kampala Rockets. Wins over the Victoria Crocs and Sommet, either side of a 22-point loss to the UCU Canons followed to propel the Saints to the top of the NBL.

Livingstone are seventh, their chief joy coming in the 71-59 win over the KIU Titans. The Kansanga-based Titans are winless in their first two games of the season, will need a special effort to avoid a third loss, as they face the unbeaten Namuwongo Blazers at Abja Park.

At Lugogo, Victoria will battle the (3-1) JT Jaguars, who saw their unbeaten record ended last week by Namuwongo.
