NAMUTUMBA- Namutumba town council was today, November 17, 2025, a spectacle of Yellow as enthusiastic residents line the streets, eagerly awaiting President Yoweri Museveni.
The President is holding a major campaign rally at the Namutumba District headquarters, and the air is thick with anticipation and pro-NRM sentiment.
Yellow vibe
The town is awash in the signature yellow of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Supporters, clad in NRM t-shirts and overalls, were seen distributing branded attire and party flags to the gathering crowds.
Banners bearing the portraits of various NRM flag bearers in the district were hoisted high, transforming the town's thoroughfares into a vibrant display of political support.
The atmosphere was further electrified by local entertainment groups, including the Nakibale Cultural Group, Tugezyeku Group and Tebongoka Group.
The rhythmic beat of drums filled the air as residents spontaneously broke into traditional Kisoga dances, celebrating the moment as they waited for their presidential candidate.
A highlight for onlookers was the vigorous, bare-chested performance by dancer Kalimungabo Fred from Lwatama.
Adding to the energy, members of the Patriots for the Liberation of Uganda (PLU) were highly visible.
They ran through the town council waving flags adorned with the portraits of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and President Museveni, loudly chanting their slogan: 'Tuko Pamoja' (We are together).
