The She Cranes will kick off their Vitality Netball Nations Cup tournament against rivals South Africa in Nottingham on Saturday.
While the national women's netball team is all about winning the war, revenge will surely be on their minds when they take on the Spar Proteas.
A little over a month ago they were in the middle of the storm as the South Africans schooled them to win the Africa Cup in Namibia. Team manager Alice Alweny has assured the country the girls are in England to win.
“We are here to win; we are not here to just participate. There are no soldiers who go to war to lose a battle. So, we a facing the battle and our intention is to win,” Alweny said.
The She Cranes jetted into the UK on Wednesday evening and they are working hard to get things in order ahead of the tie with South Africa.
The She Cranes will want to do better than they did in the Vitality Netball Cup last year. The competition last year was quality it involved all the top three nations in the world.
That is Australia New Zealand and England, it was hard for Uganda to get victory but they pushed all the teams to their limit.
