Uganda emerged stronger in the second half, with relentless pressure leading to an equalizer in the 64th minute by Arafat Nkoola, assisted by Elvis Torach.
In the dying moments, as the game appeared headed for penalties, James Bogere sealed the victory for Uganda, capitalizing on Isima Magala's precise assist.
The Cubs' triumph underscores their growing prowess in regional football and secures their place among the elite teams in the age category.
Striker James Bogere, who netted an impressive seven goals during the tournament, was the top scorer, while midfielder Abubakali Walusimbi was named the best player.
Tanzania was awarded the Fair Play Award for their sportsmanship, while Tanzanian goalkeeper Abrahman Nassoro was named the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
Both Uganda and Tanzania demonstrated remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament, securing their spots in the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

Both Uganda and Tanzania will represent the CECAFA region at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations U-17 in Morocco, set to run from March 30 to April 19, 2025.
