The She Cranes concluded the round-robin round of the Vitality Netball Nations Cup with a 48-59 loss to England on Saturday evening.

It was evident that the She Cranes had managed to shake off a lot of injury problems and illness when they took on England.

For three-quarters, the She Cranes went toe-to-toe with the Roses and even took the lead a couple of times.

The much-improved performance compared to the one they put up last weekend when they lost to South Africa and Malawi was very welcome against a more experienced, exposed, and well-drilled side.

Before the start of the match, the loss was almost a foregone conclusion, but England found themselves having to dig themselves out of a hole in the fourth quarter in order to beat the She Cranes.

Uganda will now play for third place against Malawi, where they will look to put the Queens to the sword for a chance at redemption.

England and South Africa will contest the finale of the Netball Nations Cup. South Africa is the only unbeaten team in the competition.
