Police FC have turned their home ground Kavumba Recreation into a fortress with every visiting team facing defeat since the start of Big League season 2023/24.

Police FC is in sensational form and if they maintain the current form under coach Simon Peter Mugerwa, they have a chance of returning to the top flight next season.

In 11 games, they have won six home games beating Young Boys (2-1), Ndejje University (3-1), Kaaro Karungi (2-0), Calvery FC (1-0), Blacks Powers (3-2) and Kiyinda Boys suffered (3-1).

Against Kiyinda Boys, Isaac Ogwang put Police FC in the lead with a spot kick after Tonny Kiwalaze was fouled inside the 18-yard box.

Kiyinda Boys equalised in the 60th minute, however, Police FC scored in the 78th minute through Reagan Male before Emmanuel Mugume sealed it in the 6th minute of stoppage time.

The Cops are now leading the table with 26 points, followed by Lugazi FC with 24, and Blacks Power with 20.
