Charles Ayiekoh has been handed a rude welcome to the FUFA Women's Super League by Ayub Khalifah's Kawempe Muslim Ladies who beat his Kampala Queens side 2-0 at the Philip Omondi Stadium Lugogo on Wednesday.

Sensational Agnes Nabukenya scored twice in the first for Kawempe and her goals were enough to get her side the deserved three points.

Despite Kampala Queens being a star-studded side with a good number of Uganda Crested Cranes players, they were dominated by Kawempe from start to finish.

Kawempe's players notably Hadijja Nandago, and Samalie Nakacwa who were all on top of their game and gave Kampala Queen's defenders a restless afternoon at Lugogo.

But Kampala Queens can excuse themselves for this loss because of the injuries in their team.

They missed the services of first-team players Fazila Ikwaput, Shamirah Nalugya, and Hasifa Nassuna who are very important when available.

This victory saw Kawempe move to the top of the table courtesy of their superior goal difference but are level on 10 points with Kampala Queens.

This was a rescheduled fixture that was initially supposed to be played in November last year, but both clubs had the majority of their players away on national team duties.

The league continues on Saturday and Sunday with different games on different grounds.
