Riazat Shah lost the toss, and Hong Kong opted to field first, a decision the Cricket Cranes immediately took advantage of.

Shah contributed 40, while openers Robinson Obuya and Shrideep Mangela added 26 and 16 runs respectively.

Fred Achlem scored 15 runs, Dinesh Nakrani 13, and Kenneth Waiswa 10 for Uganda, who were bowled out for 276 with one ball to spare.

Hong Kong started their response poorly, falling to 5/56 but Yasim Murtaza and Zeeshan Ali combined for 75 runs to breathe life into the hosts' chase.

But Cosmas Kyewuta (2/43), Juma Miyagi (2/54), Henry Ssenyondo (1/25), and Dinesh Nakrani (1/57) ensure Hong Kong's fightback would fall short.

Uganda moved four points clear at the top of the log, although second-placed Italy have a game in hand.
