Normal service has been restored.

If that is how the KCCA Panthers feel after their dominant 89-62 victory over the UPDF Tomahawks Wednesday at the YMCA, you would not blame them.

Davis Asiimwe dropped a team-high 16 points, and three teammates managed double figures as Raymond Muhumuza’s KCCA snapped a three-game losing skid in the National Basketball League (NBL).

Oscar Byomuhangi, Stanley Mugerwa and Stephen Otoa added 15, 12 and 11 points respectively for KCCA, who won every single quarter on the way to their first victory in the second round.

KCCA came into the contest with losses to the City Oilers, Namuwongo Blazers and JKL Dolphins—the last one being particularly painful. But dominating UPDF in the manner they did will heal wounds and restore confidence for the Panthers.

Henry Okoth drained a game-high 17 for UPDF, who are in danger of immediate relegation to the second tier. Benjamin Kyazze scored 12 for Baker Kyambadde’s UPDF.
