Uganda’s Larry Feni clocked 11.93 in the 25m freestyle race to bag yet another gold from the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin on Wednesday.
This was his second gold in two days following an earlier one he won in the 50m breaststroke on Tuesday, as he wound up his performance at the games.
Feni was 1.85 seconds faster than Madan Madhav (13.78) of Special Olympics Bharat and Payim Mia of Bangladesh who made 12.14 to settle for silver and bronze respectively, in the final that had eight contestants.
The mood in the Ugandan camp is “obviously good” according to coach Sam Kiggundu.
