The burial was attended by a multitude of Ugandan musicians, including Bebe Cool, King Saha, Spice Diana, Carol Nantongo, Fik Gaza, Fefe Busi, Zex bilangilangi, Ragga Dee, and Nina Roz, among others.
Humphrey Mayanja laid to rest
Humphrey Mayanja, the elder brother of musicians Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso, was laid to rest yesterday, April 3, 2024, at his ancestral home in Kalangaalo, Mityana district.
He succumbed to cancer last Saturday at his home in Kitiko-Mutungo in Wakiso district.
A mass that was led by Rev.Fr.Ronald Kasigazi preceded all the other activities, including speeches and burial.
Fr.Kasigazi reminded people of the existence of God and that they should know he can take them at any given moment.

He asked people to pray for Humprey’s parents, Gerald and Prossy Mayanja, as they have lost two of their children, including, Mourners, like National Unity Platform deputy spokesperson Waiswa Mufumbiro, politician Lubega Mukaaku, and musicians who eulogised Humphrey, saying he was a calm and friendly person who always wished good for the people around him.
Muzeeyi Mayanja continued to thank Humphrey’s friends, whom he called 'real friends', as they contributed 95% of his hospital bills.

At 4:30 p.m., a choir and priest led the procession to the graveyard where Humphrey was to be buried, and at this moment, the mood went more sombre amongst the close relatives that were seeing the last journey of their beloved. He was laid next to his brother, AK-47.
