Busoga, Buganda sugarcane outgrowers decry exploitation

During an engagement with Members of Parliament of the Tourism, Trade, and Industry Committee, several sugar cane outgrower associations on Tuesday said that as a result of exploitation, many sugarcane outgrowers are struggling to make ends meet.

During the committee meeting at Parliament, representatives of Sugarcane Outgrowers Associations said some farmers have even been forced to abandon their plantations. (New Vision/Files)
