Uganda police dog nabs man linked to church break-in

Unidentified intruders had jumped the fence, and broke into Glory Church in Kawaala in the Kampala City suburbs.

Detectives attached to the Uganda Police Force canine department also known as K9 Unit, earlier this week nabbed a suspected thief who raided a church in Kampala.
Unidentified intruders had jumped the fence, and broke into Glory Church in Kawaala in the Kampala City suburbs.
Investigators who visited the scene on Monday reported that the intruders targeted and stole a computer (monitor and CPU) in the church office.
A police dog taken to the scene successfully led detectives to Kiz Tugume's residence in church neighborhood.

A search was conducted leading to the recovery of the stolen items in Tugume's bag.

A press release from Police states that while Tugume remains in custody, his four roommates linked to the same crime are at large.
