“The victim, identified as Davis, reported that he had been attacked by two men armed with pangas near Ecomart Supermarket in Kiwatule.

Our officers from Kiwatule Police Station swiftly responded to the call, confronted the suspects, and in the process of trying to arrest them, one of the thugs who attempted to attack officers with a panga was fatally wounded, while the other ran away,” Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, said.

He revealed that the deceased was dressed in a hood, a blue jacket, and a black mask.

“Residents at the scene identified him as a notorious robber suspected to have been behind several robberies in Kiwatule and Kigowa. His body has been conveyed to the city mortuary pending a postmortem. Meanwhile, investigations continue to track down his accomplice,” he added.

He commended the officers from Kiwatule Police Station and Kira Road Division for their swift and professional response that averted further harm to the community.
