Buyende district farmers' chairman killed in motorcycle crash

KAMULI - Tragedy has struck the farming fraternity in Buyende District after the chairperson of the district Farmers Association died on Friday.
Moses Samanya lost his life after a motorcycle he was riding crashed into a stationary commuter taxi at Kasambira trading centre along the Jinja-Kamuli highway.
Micheal Kasadha, the Busoga North spokesperson, quoting the Police in Kamuli district said that the accident occurred at around 4:00pm at Kasambira trading centre along the Kamuli–Jinja highway in Kamuli district.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a report indicated that the deceased, while heading towards Jinja direction, reportedly rammed into the stationary taxi from the rear.
Samanya, the deceased, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kamuli General Hospital and upon arrival, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
