Nakaseke farm worker on the run after hacking workmate to death
The Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima, said Ainemukama was working on the farm when his alleged assailant attacked him with a machete, hacking him several times.
The hacked body of the alleged victim, only identified by police as Ainemukama, was found lying in a pool of blood inside the farm where both men worked.

NAKASEKE - A farm worker in Nakaseke district is on the run after he allegedly hacked a colleague to death following a disagreement.
Nicholas Kabandize, a farm worker at Magoma village, Kikamulo sub-county in Nakaseke central constituency, is said to have carried out the heinous act on Monday (August 3), after which he is said to have gone underground.
The hacked body of the alleged victim, only identified by police as Ainemukama, was found lying in a pool of blood inside the farm where both men worked.
The Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima, said Ainemukama was working on the farm when his alleged assailant attacked him with a machete, hacking him several times.
Twineamazima said the suspect fled the scene after the attack, abandoning Ainemukama's lifeless body in a pool of blood.
Wineamazima said the victim's body was discovered by a resident, who reported the matter to Kiwoko police station in Nakaseke district.
He said Police promptly responded and registered a case of suspected murder before transporting the body to Nakaseke hospital for a postmortem.
According to police , Ainemukama's blood-stained body was found with multiple hack injuries around his left side.
According to preliminary investigations, Kabandize had, prior to the attack, allegedly issued death threats to Ainemukama, with whom they lived in the same house at the farm.
Wineamazima said the victim's body was discovered by a resident, who reported the matter to Kiwoko police station in Nakaseke district.
He said Police promptly responded and registered a case of suspected murder before transporting the body to Nakaseke hospital for a postmortem.
According to police , Ainemukama's blood-stained body was found with multiple hack injuries around his left side.
According to preliminary investigations, Kabandize had, prior to the attack, allegedly issued death threats to Ainemukama, with whom they lived in the same house at the farm.
Twineamazima today (August 5) said the police were hunting for the suspect in order to charge him with murder.

According to the 2025 annual crime report released last week, police recorded 4,238 homicide cases in 2025, a slight decrease from 4,329 cases reported in 2024.
The victims included 3,397 adult males, 550 adult females, 173 male juveniles, and 148 female juveniles. Of these, 338 victims were killed through hacking, compared to 310 in 2024.
An analysis of data indicates that the motives behind these killings largely stemmed from land disputes, domestic violence, acts of mob justice, family misunderstandings, crimes of passion and business rivalries.
