Luwero Police hunt for man after stepson clobbered to death
The suspect has been named as Martin Sekyanzi, a 30-year-old casual labourer from Bamunanika county in Luwero.

The Police in Uganda's central district of Luwero say they are hunting for a man who allegedly clobbered his nine-year-old stepson to death.
The suspect has been named as Martin Sekyanzi, a 30-year-old casual labourer from Bamunanika county in Luwero.
The circumstances under which the crime was committed are not clear, but it is reported that the young victim, Jeremiah Mayiga, was fatally struck over alleged theft of sh500.
Sekyanzi is currently at large.
At the time of the tragic incident that took place in Kabukunga village, Kamira sub-county in Bamunanika on Friday (August 21), Mayiga's mother said she was away attending a family function.
Joan Nalugo said she left behind her son and his younger sibling with her husband, now the suspect.

She said her younger son later told her his stepfather hit Mayiga on the head with a big stick.
Savannah region police spokesperson Samuel Twineamazima said a case of murder has been preferred against Sekyanzi as the Police continue to hunt for him.
He said they received the alert from the village local council leaders, and upon arriving at the scene, found the victim unresponsive and presumed dead.
The Police took the body to Mulago Hospital for autopsy.
Later, the postmortem examination report showed that the boy died of 'traumatic brain injury following blunt force trauma'.
