YUMBE - Hundreds have turned up for the West Nile Peace Day celebrations at Geya Primary School in Yumbe town, Yumbe district.
The landmark event marking 23 years since the guns fell silent in the region, is being held under the theme: "23 Years of Peace and Progress: Uniting West Nile for Socio-Economic Transformation."
President Yoweri Museveni is expected to grace the event as the chief guest, and several dignitaries are already at the venue.
