Low prices of cassava and poor yields for other crops due to harsh weather have for long hampered the dream of Cuthbert Okongole 35, of acquiring a motorcycle that would ease mobility for his family.
A father of five has faced it rough to access a health centre whenever a child or he falls sick and as such, he kept on farming hoping that one day, his suffering will end when he registers a good harvest to facilitate him getting money to buy means of transport.
“Whenever I cultivate cassava, the proceeds have never gone halfway of the motorcycle price of shs5.5m, as a family man, attending funerals as well as accessing health facilities for mediation of children on time has for long been a big hurdle for me,” Okongole confessed.
After several failed attempts in farming to raise the required money to buy a motorcycle, Okongole heard about Enyadu promotion on Etop radio for the listeners to win a motorbike.
With dry cassava amounting to sh400,000 in the house, Okongole shared with his wife Anna Grace Amucu to take a risk to sell cassava for taking part in playing Enyadu game.
The couple is a typical example of a risk taker! With their hard earned money at hand, which should have helped them settle fees for their children, they instead entered into Enyadu promotion in December last year.
