In a moment of unbridled joy, father of three James Ekilu from Asamuk in Amuria district has won a vehicle worth shillings 25 million in Etop Radio's ongoing Enyadu promotion.

The celebration that erupted from Ekilu's family was a testament to the impact this win would have on their lives.

Ekilu, a farmer, was over the moon when he received the call informing him of his win.
"I can now truly believe that miracles are real!" he said.

"Before entering the competition, my wife Sarah Agobote and I prayed for God's blessing, and it's amazing to see that blessing manifest in our lives."

The Enyadu promotion, a partnership between Etop Radio and Nature Creates, has been rewarding listeners with exciting prizes since last year.

Ekilu's win marks a significant milestone, as he opted to receive the cash equivalent of shillings 25 million instead of the vehicle. This decision was driven by his desire to invest in land for his family, a dream he had long cherished.

On Friday, Ekilu, accompanied by his wife and father, Patrick Edonyu, was handed a dummy cheque symbolising his win. With tears of joy in his eyes, Ekilu said: "My challenge has been lack of land for my family, but that's now history. I'm going to buy three acres for my children, securing their future."

With shilling 25 million prize money, Ekilu plans to acquire approximately five acres of land in Kapelebyong district, where land prices average shillings 5 million per acre. This newfound asset will undoubtedly improve the livelihood of his young family.

Ekilu's win is not just a stroke of luck; it's also a testament to his trust in Etop Radio.
"Etop Radio is a developmental radio that cares for its listeners," he said. "Even before winning anything, I've been a beneficiary of the knowledge they impart through expert advice."

This win is part of Etop Radio's ongoing efforts to engage and reward its listeners. In March, the station gave away shillings 20 million in cash and a brand-new motorcycle, bringing the total number of motorcycles donated to five in the Teso sub-region.

Etop Radio's programmes manager Stella Ipas emphasised the station's commitment to empowering the community.

"It's essential to empower the community you serve, and that's exactly what we're doing," she said. "Our existence is thanks to the listeners who have supported us for 17 years," Ipas said.

Listeners can participate in the Enyadu game by dialling *238*3*5# and following the prompts. As one of the seven radio stations under Vision Group, Etop Radio 99.4 FM has consistently maintained its position as the most listened-to radio station in the region, according to IPSOS research.

Ekilu's story serves as a shining example of the impact of Etop Radio's initiatives on the lives of its listeners. As the community continues to benefit from the station's efforts, it's clear that Etop Radio's legacy will endure for generations to come.
