Court awards Muslim community 1.69 ha

Ruling: Anyone who offers land for community development cannot later register it in personal names. The high court’s decision effectively restores ownership of the 1.649ha property to UMSC, ending a legal dispute that has lasted for years.

UMSC also accused Bazalaki of fraudulently registering the land in his personal names without the knowledge or consent of the Muslim community and of unlawfully including land donated by Hajjat Sawuyah Dhakaba to the Bugadde Muslim Community in his title.
