Bududa aid NGO raises red flag as scams rock organisation

GiveDirectly notes the unsuspecting public are being asked for application, activation, registration, or disbursement fees in exchange for funds they falsely claim are from GiveDirectly.

GiveDirectly, which is currently working with the Government to resettle people devastated by landslides in Bududa district, said on September 30, 2024, that the scam involves unknown people impersonating GiveDirectly by contacting people through WhatsApp, Facebook, X (Twitter), Telegram and other social media platforms.
