Aponye’s driver remanded over reckless driving

Prosecution alleges that Isabirye on July 6, 2023, at about 9:00pm at Itojo on the Mbarara-Ntungamo highway, caused the death of Aponye by driving motor vehicle registration number UBF 300Z Toyota Landcruiser recklessly.

Aponye, who was in his 60s, died on the spot after his vehicle hit a parked lorry on the Mbarara-Ntungamo road as he was on his way to Rukiga district at about 9:00pm.
