Govt increases health budget, Referral Hospitals eat big
According to the policy statements, a substantial share of the funds has been earmarked for improving services at referral hospitals, whose combined allocation is projected to rise to sh777b from sh536b currently.
Butabika Hospital has been allocated sh61b in 2026/2027.

KAMPALA - As part of efforts to improve healthcare across Uganda, the Government plans to increase the health sector budget allocation from sh4.87
