As part of its forthcoming 25th anniversary celebrations, St Peter’s Senior Secondary School - Naalya (SPENA) hosted a lavish gala dinner at the prestigious Aquarius Resort Hotel in Kigo last Friday.

The event was not only a significant occasion to honour the institution’s 25 years of impact and progress but also raised funds for the construction of a 2,200-seater multi-purpose hall at the school.

The evening was graced by distinguished guests, including the Assistant Commissioner for Private Schools and Institutions at the Ministry of Education and Sports, George Mutekanga. The event also welcomed top government officials, prominent educationists, parents, alumni, and well-wishers, all coming together to celebrate SPENA’s remarkable journey and support its future.

Attendees enjoyed a memorable evening set in a refined environment, highlighted by inspiring speeches from notable figures who reflected on the school’s achievements and future aspirations. The gala featured vibrant performances and cultural displays, celebrating the rich community spirit of St Peter’s Naalya.

“St Peter’s Naalya has not only provided quality education but has also been a beacon of hope and opportunity for countless young people from Uganda and our neighbouring countries. As we celebrate 25 years of this remarkable institution, it is our collective responsibility to support its vision for the future, including the construction of this vital multi-purpose hall,” Mutekanga said.

Last month, St Peter’s Naalya unveiled its 25th anniversary insignia during a press conference at the school’s Naalya premises. This event marked the official start of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, showcasing the school’s ongoing commitment to growth and excellence.

Following the gala dinner, the main Silver Jubilee celebrations will continue on November 16, 2024, at the school premises. This day will be filled with nostalgic reflections, exciting activities, and a heart-warming sense of community as SPENA celebrates 25 years of educational excellence.

Clement Kavutse Muhire, President of the SPENA Celebrations Committee, extended his gratitude to all guests for their attendance and generous contributions.

“Your support is vital in helping us achieve our vision for the new multi-purpose hall and ensuring that St Peter’s Naalya continues to thrive as a center of excellence in education,” said Muhire.
