Lugogo Hockey Grounds witnessed a galvanised spectacle on Saturday, May 11th, as gospel artist Titus Kuteesa, alongside so many gospel stars, transformed the venue into a hub of spiritual and musical fervour at the Ndimulokole Festival.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as eager attendees packed the grounds well before 8 p.m., eager to witness Kuteesa's much-anticipated first ever performance following his journey since quarantine. As the lights bathed the stage and a band accompanied by dancers took their positions, Kuteesa's resonant voice pierced the air, chanting the iconic words "ndi mulokole," igniting an enthusiastic response from the crowd.
From his opening number to his grand finale, Kuteesa captivated the audience with a repertoire that included hits like "After quarantine, Ayagala Byanzikiza," "Angella," and the titular anthem "Ndi Mulokole." His impassioned delivery and stage presence left attendees spellbound, prompting a standing applause that reverberated throughout the venue.
In an exclusive interview, Kuteesa expressed his vision to elevate the gospel music industry to new heights, emphasising its pervasive influence beyond traditional Sunday airplay. "I want to contribute to the gospel music industry and lift it up," Kuteesa affirmed, highlighting the genre's expanded reach and impact.
The festival also saw esteemed figures like Pastor Wilson Bugembe and Apostle Grace Lubega offering their blessings and support, underscoring the significance of spiritual grounding in artistic endeavours. Notably, even secular artist Cindy Beibe graced the event, affirming her appreciation for the spiritual essence of the gathering. So many legendary gospel artists celebrated with Kuteesa; these included Levixion, Grace Morgan, Joseph Ngoma, Exodus, Coopy Buly, Zabuuli, Sagemento, and many others.
The Ndi Mulokole festival was a celebration of Jesus Christ and a reuniting event for everyone in Christ.
