Teachers Making a Difference's long journey finally culminated in a joyful arrival at Dublin Airport, where the delegation was warmly received by their host and trip expert, Margo, whose excitement was unmistakable upon seeing the team of teachers, journalists, embassy staff, and ministry officials.
Accompanying Dr Mugisha Annet from the Ministry of Education and Sports were two senior ministry officials — Mr Robert Tabura Andrew and Mr Ikwap Robert — who joined the educators on this transformative learning journey.

Thanks to Margo’s meticulous planning, every detail had been perfectly arranged, allowing the team to breeze through immigration with ease. Stepping out into the crisp Dublin winter, the teachers felt both the chill of a new season and the warmth of a dream realised.
Moments later, the group boarded their bus, their hearts filled with anticipation as they made their way to the elegant Trinity City Hotel, nestled in the vibrant heart of Dublin — their home for the week ahead.
Upon arrival at the Trinity City Hotel, the Ugandan delegation was warmly received and officially briefed by Margo, the overall trip coordinator, alongside Naome Muhwezi, the head of the delegation from the Embassy of Ireland in Uganda.
After a smooth check-in, the group set out to explore Dublin through a guided city tour that offered a first glimpse into Ireland’s vibrant culture and charm. To help the visitors adjust to the chilly weather, each delegate received a thoughtful welcome gift — an Ireland-branded jumper and a raincoat, perfect for the city’s famously unpredictable rain.
The day’s activities concluded with a sumptuous four-course lunch that delighted everyone’s taste buds, followed by a bit of leisure shopping. The teachers later returned to their hotel, tired but thrilled, ready to begin a week of learning, discovery, and cultural exchange.
