Vision Group, through its Luganda publication, Bukedde, has announced a fresh push to support Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) candidates through a series of mock examinations to be published in its Bukedde newspaper beginning next week Monday, 25-28th August.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Vision Group, Don Wanyama, says the initiative dubbed Pass PLE Mocks 2025 is designed to give learners an edge ahead of the national examinations.

“Through our education project Pass PLE, we have prepared mock examinations that will prepare our candidates to pass highly in their final exams. These mocks are prepared by some of the best teachers in the country, closely following guidelines from the National Curriculum Centre and UNEB.” Wanyama highlighted during an interview at his office.

According to Vision Group CEO, the content has already won praise from parents, teachers and former candidates, many of whom reported finding questions in the final PLE that mirrored those in Bukedde’s mock papers.

“One of the unique aspects of this arrangement is that the tests are followed by their answers in the next day editions. We will not just provide the answers, but also break down the methodology of how to arrive at them. This ensures learners understand concepts rather than resorting to cramming.” he explained.

The mock exams will run in Bukedde from Monday, August 25 to Thursday, August 28, at the paper’s regular cover price of Shs1,000 and answers will also be and answers will then be published in the next day's series together with a new set.

“This makes it easy, even for parents and teachers, to assess and mark their children’s work using the provided answer guide,” he noted.

Beyond the mock exams, Vision Group will also conduct the annual PLE Quiz Session, slated for the first week of October. The event, traditionally hosted at Kitante Primary School, brings together learners from across the country to test their knowledge in a competitive yet educative environment.

“We bring some of the best teachers across the country to run the quiz. Learners attempt questions across subjects, and the teachers explain the answers, highlight problem areas and guide them on how to improve. At the end of the day, it is about every learner being fully prepared.” Wanyama said.

He urged parents, teachers and the wider public to seize the opportunity, stressing that Vision Group remains committed to strengthening education through its platforms.
