KAMPALA - When a couple happily walks down the aisle and exchanges vows, they think and hope that marriage will be blissful.

Some of the ethos they were taught in premarital classes fade away with time, and they need someone to remind them or counsel them through it all.

Kojja Kevin Muwomya, a relationship therapist whose forte is intimacy, says every couple needs someone to talk to in a free space, especially before and when they face challenges.

Muwomya, who will be an expert speaker on intimacy at the upcoming Bride and Groom Expo, says he will share his tips with couples and even the unmarried because his advice is invaluable.

The Bride and Groom Expo will be due end of this month from the 26th to the 28th of June at UMA Multipurpose Hall, Lugogo. Under the theme, Beyond I do: A journey of love, home and family, this expo promises more than just wedding matters.

It will cater for other aspects that support marriage and life generally. It will encompass finance, homes, infertility, lifestyle and wellness.

Muwomya says the expo is for all because all people need to learn how to relate intimately.

“Every woman came from a man’s rib so every woman should find and stay with her man,” he said, advising singletons to aspire for marriage.

He also cautioned men and women about the don’ts they should avoid in marriage.
“A man without a wife doesn’t develop,” he said, adding, “A dirty woman is not good for intimacy.”

Vision Group’s Marketing and Communication head, Lorraine Tukahirwa, said, “The expo is a holistic expo covering love, wedding, home and family. It will bring together all key service providers, creating an immersive and experiential platform.”

At only sh 10, 000 as the entrance fee, the expo will be a place to shop and plan for your wedding in a day, get financial and relational tips for your relationship and practical advice on home matters, such as construction and the finishing touches, including furniture.
