“Men should stop being stingy with their money, or else their women will find men who can take care of them.”
This was one of the key points Kojja Kevin Muwomya shared during a session titled Fire in the Bedroom at the Bride & Groom Expo, currently taking place at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo. The three-day event, running from June 28 to 30, is not one to miss.
Muwomya further explained that to enhance love and trust in marriage, financial transparency is essential, particularly on the man's part.
However, he cautioned that while it is crucial to be transparent with finances, men should not be entirely open.
“If you are extremely open about your finances with a woman, she might use this information against you by comparing you to other men. In the long run, this creates discontent in the marriage. So, you need to do it carefully,” Muwomya stated.
He emphasised that many men today have become so lazy that they have left everything to their women, abandoning their responsibilities as fathers and parents.
Sadly, even when women take on these responsibilities, many men lack the sexual stamina to satisfy their wives. When women complain, these men often become violent.
“In the end, this sets a bad example for the children, who may copy this behaviour into their own lives,” he continued.
Muwomya encouraged married couples to take advantage of collective efforts by learning to do things together and planning as a team.
He advised the men to make it a habit to give gifts to their wives.
“When you gift your wife, the love in the family becomes abundant, including peace,” he said.
Additionally, gifting can compel women to assist their partners when they need a helping hand.
"If you've been generous with your wife, she won't hold back when you need help."
On the other hand, he also highlighted the importance of cleanliness among couples, emphasising that it is a key component in lovemaking.
“For men, cleanliness does not end with wearing the best suit. It includes brushing your teeth before and after sleep, grooming for both men and women is crucial, including taking regular showers,” Muwomya explained.
