Sebuguzi eyes FIM CAC

Sebuguzi, the 2022 African Champion in the 85cc class has been training and using the Armed Forces Motocross Challenge as training for the regional championship that is expected to draw racers from Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

After the Armed Forces Motocross Challenge in Busiika, Gift Sebuguzi targets the FIM Central Africa Motocross championship title in Nairobi on December 10 to 11.

Sebuguzi, the 2022 African Champion in the 85cc class has been training and using the Armed Forces Motocross Challenge as training for the regional championship that is expected to draw racers from Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

He is part of Team Uganda which is expected to defend the first-round lead secured at Victoria Raceway track Garuga early this year in April. 

“We are ready for the challenge. We have been training, and our bike is fine. We are just waiting for clearance from the motorsport governing body FMU and we set off,” Sebuguzi senior said.

The two-day event starts on Saturday with practice and then heat 1, then on Sunday, it will be practice and then two heats.

Uganda leads with 1249 points, 682 points ahead of host Kenya (567 points).

Jamairah Makumbi and Filbert Muwonge target the individual silverware in the MX50cc class, Miguel Katende, and Jonathan Katende in the 65cc class, Jerome Mubiru in the 85cc a, and Kylan Wekesa and Maxime van pee in the MX1 class.

The team is expected to leave the country on  Thursday  December 8,2022.
