Market Wrap: Baroda stock up 7% Tuesday

Bank of Baroda's (BOBU) share price surged by 7.14% during Tuesday’s trading session to sh15 per share at the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE).

According to the day’s market report from Crested Capital, BOBU exchanged the most value in turnover of sh75.7m.

Overall, market turnover dealt during the session was sh99.7m from sh11.2m traded yesterday.

Stanbic traded sh18.5m, Airtel Uganda dealt sh3.8m, MTN moved sh1.1m, while CiplaQCIL and Umeme traded about sh340,000 and sh124,000 respectively.

On share price movement, MTN experienced a moderate increase of 0.43%, reaching sh171.00. However, Umeme faced a slight setback, dropping by 0.06% to settle at sh413.67.

Stanbic maintained its position at sh32, while Airtel Uganda held firm at sh100. CQCIL traded at sh70.

The USE All Share Index (ALSI) was up 0.17% to 896.25, while the C11, Crested’s local companies’ index appreciated 0.27% to 101.72.
