At about 3:30pm local time one fine day last month, Keeza entered a car parked outside the building where she worked and drove off with a group of men.
A 30-year-old Ugandan female actress who disappeared last month and believed kidnapped, has reportedly been dropped at her parents' home Friday. Several weeks ago, Patience Kahirita Katushabe, alias Keeza, was approached by four men at her work station at the Kampala Boulevard building along Kampala Road.
That was late last month – on Friday, September 28.
The men engaged her in a chat, before stepping outside and resuming their interaction for almost two hours.
It was easy to believe they were Keeza’s close acquaintances or maybe clients. Why? Her workplace – Kwakoo – is a busy multi-faceted e-commerce platform for Africa and other global markets.
Keeza is also a renowned actress in local popular drama Campus Life.
Ben Namukoye, who the director of the show, told Saturday Vision she acts as Rachel, a care-free campus student who was in a group of students who are serious with their academic life.
Back to real life . . . on that fateful Friday
It emerged that the men, who were in plain clothes, were not ordinary clients. They were kidnappers.
At about 3:30pm local time that day, Keeza, who is disabled and walks with crutches, entered a car parked outside the building and drove off with the men.
That had, until Friday, been the last time she was seen.
One month after the incident, Keeza’s mysterious disappearance had continued to haunt the family as the agonizing search yielded no results.
