Uganda's Senior Women's National Handball team coach, Aziz Yakub, is optimistic that his charges will deliver positive results in the upcoming IHF Nations Trophy Zone V Championship, scheduled for November 4–8 in Kibaha, Tanzania.
The "Nile Queens" tactician stated that the players are responding exceptionally well to training, giving him confidence that they will be highly competitive and achieve their ultimate goal of qualifying for the Africa Cup.
"I am impressed with the girls' response to training," Yakub said. "They are positive, and we are currently polishing our team combinations and endurance, and we are good to go."
He added: "The team has enjoyed a conducive environment to prepare. Our focus is to make the most of this opportunity, compete with determination, and represent our country with pride to qualify for the next stage."
The squad will fly out of the country on Tuesday and is now intensifying its preparations for the competition.
