URA FC strengthen attack with Fred Amaku signing

Fred Amaku has joined URA FC on a two-year deal, becoming the tax collectors’ third signing of the transfer window. 

The 29-year-old forward joins from Kitara FC.

“Joining URA FC is a big step in my career, and I’m truly excited for this new challenge. This is a club with great ambition and tradition, and I want to be part of its success story,” he said.

“I have come here to work hard, score goals and help the team compete at the very top. My target is simple, hit double figures in goals, deliver important performances and make fans proud,” Amaku added.

Amaku brings experience and quality to URA’s attacking line. In the past three Uganda Premier League seasons, two with Maroons FC and one with Kitara FC,He has played 79 league matches, scored 29 goals, registered eight assists, and won eight man of the match awards.

His arrival follows the signings of midfielder Kabon Living and goalkeeper Chispas Kusiima, both also from Kitara FC, as the club reshapes its squad for the new season.

Meanwhile, former URA captain Manko Kaweesa has returned to the club as the fitness and physical conditioning coach.

He joins the technical team which includes Richard Kasule as the First Assistant Coach, Asiku Crespo as the Second Assistant Coach, and Damba Jamil as the goalkeeping coach.
