The Round of 64 in the 2025/26 Stanbic Uganda Cup will be played between February 4–10 at various venues across the country.

The announcement was made by FUFA Competitions Director Aisha Nalule during the official draws held Wednesday morning at Protea Hotel, Kololo.

Nalule cautioned hosting clubs to strictly observe the laws of the game and emphasized FUFA’s commitment to ensuring matches are organised professionally and in full compliance with competition regulations.

She urged hosts to secure quality green playing fields, stressing that many Super League and Big-League clubs are pursuing professional careers and cannot risk playing on poor or bare grounds.

“Hosts must hire good pitches, provide adequate security, avail ambulances, avoid hooliganism, illegal licensing, match manipulation, and ensure proper crowd control. Technical bench officials must also act professionally,” Nalule warned. She added that clubs failing to meet the required standards risk losing the opportunity to host future FUFA-organized events.

This season’s Uganda Cup attracted 333 clubs nationwide, with 64 teams now remaining to compete for the winner’s prize of Shs50m.

The runners-up will receive Shs25m, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will each earn Shs12.5m. Teams advancing to the Round of 32 will share a tournament kitty of shs150m.

All Uganda Premier League clubs have been drawn to play away fixtures in this round. Defending champions Vipers SC will travel to Northern Gateway SC, a third-division side based in Lira. Express FC will face Pakwach Young Stars in West Nile, SC Villa will visit Pallisa Hospital FC, while KCCA FC take on St. Garage Masindi. Among other exciting ties, Football Classroom FC will host Calvary FC.

The draw was conducted with the assistance of former Uganda Cranes and league star Umar Ssennoga, who featured in the 1991 and 1992 finals with Express FC and the 1993 final with KCC FC. The event was organized by Rhino Events and presided over by FUFA Third Vice President Florence Nakiwala.
