Uganda v Nigeria (7pm)
Uganda will qualify for the 2025 Afrobasket with a victory today over Nigeria in Tripoli.
The Silverbacks moved closer to the dream after beating Cape Verde yesterday 63-60, handing the Group B leaders their first defeat of the qualifiers.
Nigeria, who finished the first leg of qualification winless, beefed up their roster for the final dash and the impact was immediate, as they defeated hosts Libya 75-70 yesterday.
Uganda beat Nigeria by 10 points in the first leg, but today's reunion should be a whole different ball game.
But with tournament top-scorer Robinson Opong on Uganda's side, the Silverbacks have a shot. Opong picked up where he stopped last year with a game-high 22 points yesterday against Cape Verde.
Ismail Wainwright, who is back for Uganda after missing the first leg, finished with 16 points and seven rebounds, and another big performance from him is imperative if the Silverbacks are to clinch their place in Angola.
