Players in the Futsal Super League will be expected to put their bodies online following a partnership between Betpawa, FUFA and Futsal Association of Uganda.
Under the sponsorship deal that was launched in September, FUFA Drum and FUFA Big League were to benefit from it.
However, the Futsal league scheduled to start on November 23, the betting company revealed there different offers that are going to lift the performances of players during a press conference on Friday at Serena Hotel in Kampala.
Under the umbrella deal signed, 25% of the value of the sh1.18b will go towards the locker room bonus in the league. All players picked for the match day squad will be paid sh150,000 each for every fixture their team wins during the season.
This money will be deposited on the players mobile money numbers shortly after the game.
BetPawa’s Country Marketing Manager Ivy Igunduura said the partnership aims to widen the idea for the growth of Futsal in Uganda.
“As Uganda’s official football partner, our partnership with the Federation is focused on creating equal opportunities for both the well-established leagues and the nascent ones, hence our being here today to unveil our plans for Futsal. “We want to work closely with the Futsal community in Uganda, which includes fans and players, among others, to develop initiatives that promote the growth and development of this game in the country. One of the major positives from our engagement will be a direct benefit to the players through the locker room bonus,” Igunduura said.

Other benefits in the deal include awards for most valuable player of the season, best goalkeeper, coach, player of the season, most assists, and young player of the season.
FUFA vice first president Justus Mugisha who was chief guest revealed this is a huge milestone to the growth of futsal in the country.
"This sport was developed from nothing to where it is today. The fact that they are able to attract sponsors shows there is progress. We have made plans to have this game in schools. We are trying to engage schools since we want to make futsal a mass sport. We are also going to work hard to see the game be played internationally," noted Mugisha.

Futsal Association of Uganda chairman Hamza Jjunju believes this is a big step to the sport.
“We are excited to have betPawa on board, as this gives us the opportunity to develop the Futsal sport to compete better. betPawa takes the naming rights of Futsal Super League, and now, it will be called the betPawa Futsal Super league,” Jjunju
