Police Handball Club targets clean sheet in weekend double-header

A clean sheet is top of the agenda for the Police Handball Club as they prepare to take on Mbogo High School and Kyengeza in the National Super League this weekend.

The reigning league champions, who are yet to lose a game this season, are determined to retain their title. In a highly competitive 11-team league, the team is treating every single match like a final.

Key players Lilian Achola, Shakira Bako, Royce Namutosi, Oliver Katusiime, Hilda Abangit, and Doreen Ondoa will be expected to shoulder the responsibility and lead the Kibuli-based side in their pursuit of maximum points.

Head coach Aziz Yakubu is taking no chances and has warned his charges against complacency, urging them to attack their opponents with maximum intensity.

"Our objective is to win all our remaining matches and retain the trophy. Therefore, we shall attack them right from the throw-off to the final whistle," Yakubu asserted.

Currently, Prisons lead the table with 26 points from 14 games, having dropped one match. Police sit closely behind in second place with 24 points from 12 games and remain completely unbeaten.

The action throws off on Saturday with a mouth-watering women's clash at 10:00 AM as Kawanda Secondary School takes on Soroti Natives. This will be followed by Kyengeza battling UPDF at midday.
