Pirates win Buffaloes 7s, but Hippos are overall champions
Hippos went into the final as the overall champion having beaten challenge Heathens at the semi-final stage 12-5, while Pirates saw off defending champions Kobs 15-14 in a bruising semi-final.

The Stanbic Blac Pirates beat Jinja Hippos 7-0 in the final of the Buffaloes 7s to win the seventh and final leg of the Nile Special 7s, but the latter
