This time the UCU Canons were able to finish the job.
This time they were able to control the closing minutes, snatching victory with a dramatic three-point shot.
Marvin Okurut nailed a three-point shot with seven seconds to go and the Canons held on for a 62-61 win that ended the Namuwongo Blazers' 16-game unbeaten start to the National Basketball League (NBL) season.
Lwabaga Ibanda was the only Canon in double figures, netting 14, but UCU had eight other players get on the score sheet. Including, of course, the match winner, who had quite a fascinating footprint on the game. Okurut played only 10 minutes and scored six points.
How crucial were his last three?
Namuwongo had Michael Makiadi and Tony Drileba score 14 and 12 points respectively, but UCU once again made life uncomfortable for the star-studded Blazers.
Except this time they did not collapse in the last two minutes, as in the first round meeting last month.
The victory ended a two-game losing run for the Canons, and served as a reminder of how dangerous they can really be.
For Namuwongo, the chase for an unbeaten regular season is over, but of course, the quest for the real prize is still on, and the Blazers are still top contenders for the NBL championship.
Perhaps the loss to UCU may even prove beneficial, a wake-up call ahead of the business end of the campaign.
