Nemostars off to winning start at Men's Africa Club Championship

Nesters is off to a winning start in the Men’s Africa Club Championship with  3-0 (25-20,25-22, 25-23) over Egyptian side Petrojet in their first match of the tournament on Thursday.

Nemostars was aided by Daudi Okello who caused the Egyptian quite a number of problems at the net.

“The energy into the game was good. First game against an Arab will always be something to look forward to and winning it gives us the required momentum for the rest of the group matches,” stated Nemostars assistant coach  Tom Amou.

While the performance from Nemostars was commendable it was a laboured at times with had countless serving errors especially  in the third set. So far Nemostars  

“We stay humble and focus for the next games,” Amou explained.

Ugandan League Champions Sport-S secured an impressive 3-1(25-15, 21-25, 22-25 and 20-25) victory to also start their campaign with a much needed victory over Equity of Kenya.

It was the kind of performances that should give both sides a lot of hope and a good case  For Uganda’s  volleyball altogether.

With day one going so well the challenges still lie ahead for the two Uganda sides bt fir day two the have every right to celebrate.
